Hi All,
I own a Racal Dana 1998. The fus in the BNC connector from input B is blown. Cannot find a replacement on internet, The subscription on the fuse is: F 1/8A
Is seems to be a keramic fuse with transparant isolation. The diameter is 2,08 mm and the length about 7 mm
Is somebody having a partnumber or an adres where I can order a fuse? see attachment
Thank you all!
Regards, Leo
I do not know your area but Little Fuse is the manufacturer.
Not at work so looking up part number is out for now also.
Jeff
Any sign of who made the fuse holder?
Thank You all for you sugggestions.
The fuse is in an BNC connector. the space in the connector is 2.4 mm. I ordered an Littlefuse from 2,6 mm en gonna try to drill the space up 0,3 mm. I have ordered fuses and keep you informed.
Yes, those fuses are called ‘pico-fuses’. They are still widely available, used to protect RF stuff on their inputs.
The Schurter version claims 2.36mm dia.
its just clear heat shrink to prevent t he glass from dispersing if the fuse breaks nasty I think.
you can get teflon heat shrink (most rugged) but it might be hard to shrink on a fuse with out damaging it (high temp required)
Picofuses come from everything, I like the versions that look like 1/4 watt resistors (green)
HP 5335A counter uses a similar fuse-in-BNC setup on the 3GHz input option. I used the pico-fuses and it was a peefect fit.
Hi All,
Today, I have received tge pico-fuses, they fit in the connector and all is working fine again. Thank you all for the support!
Don't order the military version, it's 10x more expensive.
Digikey PN F7123CT-ND will do.
