I'm starting with this, because it doesn't exist yet.
But now.
And I already have a wanted feature:
I just wanted to select a different color for Mathchannel F1 - it doesn't exist....
So please, as with the 2000Xplus/HD, the possibility to change the trace colors.
EDIT: Title changed
fine adjustment for the timebase! very useful, should be not too hard to implement. would get me saving to replace my dead keysight scope with one of these
The DSOX1204G Has the same problem. The yellow/green traces are terrible for deuteranopy.
I don't know if you can call it a bug, but I've noticed two things since I got the scope yesterday.
1)Save screenshot to the usb stick:
As usual with the "save" button, one click, done.
I prefer the "jpg" format, so I changed it in the corresponding save/recall menu.
Then came the moment when I wanted to save a reference trace.
So I went back to the menu and made the appropriate settings and saved it.
Now it gets interesting:
Then at some point I saved a screenshot again - the set jpg format was discarded and it was saved in png format.
2)Self-calibration:
After running it, I was surprised to find that a change had taken place in the math function (FFT), namely the vertical scaling.
I had to set it again - in my opinion, this shouldn't be the case, especially as I didn't even have the math function active for the self-calibration.
And I think the vertical setting for channel 1 was also adjusted afterwards, but I'll have to check again.
Edit: The markers have also been reset in the FFT function.

Perhaps whole .jpg format need remove. (Are there anymore any reason at this millenium to use .jpg for oscilloscope display copy.) It is so horrible format for this kind of images. It is well ok for pocket camera "art & scenery" images but not at all ok for this kind of images where it can only produce horrible artifacts around small details. .png is best. (lossless packaging)
I wish there could be a way to see the xy-plot and the original x,y signals.

I concur. JPG is a terrible choice for any sort of detailed/high-precision image. Unless I'm dealing with photographs, PNG is always my preferred format in any graphics software output.
Whether the format is "terrible" or not doesn't change the (minor)bug.

Not only then, but also when the scope is restarted, the setting expires.
I then wanted to see if it was due to the Power On settings - but there are no Power On settings (e.g. Last State/Default)
Experienced a total input lockdown, either from keyboard or touchscreen. Had to force a reboot by long press the power button.
I was giving a first run on decoding, using CAN and I2C test signals generated with an SDG1000X (I2C and CAN files attached), and after decoding I2C I just switched one of the serial I2C signal to a CAN signal in the generator and the scope was blocked, and I could not do anything from it, even through browser (LAN cable). I had to do forced shutdown, and upon startup the scope was still not responding to any input, from keys, touch or browser.
Recovered after a second forced reboot, and after I start fiddling with controls through browser before pressing any button or touchscreen, in the scope. Don't know if there was some timing consideration on this, but it was roughly how things went.
The scope is responding properly now, and I've been playing with decoding, without any issue (so far).

After some playing around:
Wish 1: Move up thr enable/disable invert up in the channel menu's, just between probe and label item
Wish 2: Not asking for confirmation when pressing the blue auto setup button.
oke lets make it a configurable setting
----
But re #2, please keep the confirmation! The Auto button is too close to the Run/Stop, it would invite mishaps if no lock were provided. In the current implementation, you don't have to move over to the touch screen to confirm Auto setup -- a long press of the button will also do.
Save button does nothing in the Bode plot, it should make the usual screenshot.

Which file format and to Internal or USB ?
Hi,
I can confirm that the save button is completely without function in bode plot mode.
The save button should at least do something, but it's like dead.
In normal mode it is active as usual.

100% agree; it should be optional. But, good luck. I've been wanting this to be optional for years.

Save image based on Bode Plot print settings.

Same settings as regular save. Png, external if available.
As a quite minor improvement, provide a way to set hostname and domain in UI.
- The SDS800X registers itself with a hostname of SDS12xx or similar, not really matching the HW
- There is no option in the UI to alter neither hostname nor domain, so it does not play 100% nice with the rest of the network
EtA: Another 'nice to have', on the UI side, would be autorepeat for the ◀ and ▶ physical keys (lodestar: the longer they are held down, the higher the speed).
When scrolling History or Sequence capture frame by frame, it would be quite handy: the universal knob works only with menus displayed.
(BTW, a small bug: when the menu disappears, the LED above the universal knob is still lit, but the knob reverts to changing trace intensity).

Hostname can be modified through a webpage
1. Connect to the webpage and click on LAN Configuration
2. Click on Modify Setting
3. Leave Hostname and Description blank
4. Click Submit
5. Update the webpage, Hostname will display SDS800X HD
Adding Hostname and domain to the UI would be better.
My wish list:
- control of an external SDG Siglent Generator via scope UI, not only for Bode plots and with SAG1021
- copy F-channel settings to another F-channel
- math operations with numerical measurements (Vpp(ch1)/Vpp(ch2) as example)
control of an external SDG Siglent Generator via scope UI, not only for Bode plots and with SAG1021
I was just wondering, but ah...you mean a complete control system like the SAG but for SDGXXXX, right?
Interesting idea that no Siglent scope has come up with so far.

I played with Bode plots with my SDG2122 (born as 2042) and it works very well via IP network.
But it would be nice to control the Sig Gen also for „simple“ tasks like a internal Gen of the SDS2000x+ (as example) from the scope.
