Installing Mouser Footprint and Schematic Symbol Libraries
« on: January 27, 2023, 10:34:56 am »
I have attempted to install the part libraries from Mouser. At one point I get a warning that the folder needs to be accessible. I think it is. But I am not sure if the installation worked or not.

Has anyone installed these libraries and if so, how can I tell if I have them or not. Perhaps some of the names that will show up in the editors?

For footprints, I copy the .mod files manually to the appropriate category under KiCad\6.0\share\kicad\footprints
For symbols, I add the path to the symbol using the Manage Symbol Libraries menu.

This may be the wrong way, but I tried other methods which didn't work for me like using an importer tool, or just configuring paths.
