HP3458A data acquisition sw
« on: June 10, 2026, 12:39:05 pm »
Hello everyone.
I own an HP3458A as well as other Keithley 65xx and 75xx series multimeters.
I'd like to perform acquisitions with the 3458A similar to those already implemented on the Keithley 6500 and visible on its graphic display.
I've tried a couple of software programs available online, but they're having a lot of issues. In particular, all these programs have sample numbers on the horizontal X axis, which not only makes it difficult to read, but above all, it's impossible to know how long a sample is, and even if it were, you'd have to do some calculations. In the Keithley 6500 and others, the X axis contains seconds, hours, and all their multiples and submultiples, so if I need to observe a drift that occurred over 30 minutes, the reading is immediate.
I can't believe there isn't someone in the world who has written a software that simply gives the numerical value to measure on the y-axis and the time on the x-axis.
I'm not able to write a software, so I'm asking you if anyone can help me.
Thanks

the Jan's program  do not match the requested X as time but only in sample number.
The temperature acquisition device suggested do not work properly.

Hi Tony, the Jan's program use "sample" on X instead "time", and I have bought the suggested USB-TnH (SHT30) sensor for the temperarture acquisition but do not work properly.
Same experience have a friend of mine.

I’d be interested to hear what SHT30 problems you are having. I suspect maybe ZADIG needs used to put your comms driver in the right mode.

Post on the WinGPIB thread and I can help you.

Also, I can probably modify WinGPIB to add a time based sample acquisition.
