Arduino M0
« on: September 19, 2015, 09:13:56 am »
Has anyone seen the Arduino M0 or used it?
It basically is the Arduino Zero but without all the extra Chips, just the MCU sitting on the board, directly connected to all pin-headers and the USB.
In essence something I'm about to build myself with my MPPT-Project^^

The interesting bit: It has Arduino written all over it, even the Logo is on there, but it is not featured on the Arduino-Website. The only place I find information about this board are the various distributors that are selling it for around 24€.

Do you mean this board? It's an arduino.org/Arduino SRL product, not arduino.cc/Arduino LLC.

There are now two companies both claiming to be "Arduino" : http://arduino.stackexchange.com/questions/11824/difference-between-arduino-cc-and-arduino-org

It's quite bizarre and a complete mess, but so far the two companies are co-existing without significant trouble for users. I guess that will develop over time as product offerings diverge.

Ironically, arduino.org are more committed to Open Source, arduino.cc are not publishing code and design files for Arduino Zero. There's a few small differences between M0/M0 Pro and Zero, I would recommend using the arduino.org IDE.

Yes, that's the board.

I didn't know that there is another instance of Arduino around. Never looked at the TLD when searching for Arduino-stuff.

If you've managed to avoid all the lawsuit nonsense then congratulations, it's all kind of depressing.
