EFM32 technical forum and low power design contest

Hello,

I couldn't find any information about the contest details. In particular who owns the intellectual property rights of submissions (winning and otherwise). This was of some concern here in the past, when we looked at other contests.

Equally important, who is responsible for incidents? In the past we saw contests where the contest organizer wanted to be granted all rights to the submissions ("worldwide", "unlimited", "perpetual", ...), including reselling rights, but wanted to hold the submitters responsible for all that what could possibly go wrong ("hold harmless").

I.e. rules were tilted heavily towards the contest organizer and wer designed to suck the lifeblood out of submitters.

What are your rules?

Thank you for your valuable input, our motivation for the contest is to inspire forum members and new potential members to think about and discuss different low power project ideas based on the EFM32 technology. We do not have the intention of taking over the intellectual rights to ideas or publishing source code etc. if the contestant does not want to do so herself. We have revised the contest rules to reflect this.
