Freescale DSP Question!
« on: March 31, 2014, 11:16:34 pm »
Hi there, im attempting to fix a NORD Electro 2 wich is a keyboard. I found a loose screw inside the unit and one of the two DSP chips shorting the 3.3v rail and getting very hot...

So im planning to replace both DSP chips. The thing is that the exact chip (DSPB56362PV120) is no longer available, but Mouser have the DSPB56362AG120, so i couldnt figure out what the difference in the termination letters means (PV120 & AG120) the data sheet is the same for both chips.
Did you think that this replacement will work???

thanks!

According to Freescale's website the AG version is a fully pin and functional compatible version to the PV version (see here)
