software for STM32F4DISCOVERY Evaluation Kit
« on: April 18, 2014, 11:40:12 pm »
I've been using the Arduino platform so far.

But lately the STM32F4DISCOVERY Evaluation Kit caught my eye.
Is there any good, free IDE available for it ?

Their datasheet mentions to look in:
www.st.com/stm32f4-discovery but it redirects to some something not too obvious that takes you back to their product

http://www.st.com/web/catalog/tools/FM116/SC959/SS1532/PF252419 but they have documentation and feature videos, no idea what toolchain they use or if it's free.

Or maybe one of those tick marks on the first url is the download link, not obvious at all  :scared:

Hey, that's almost for free (18.13€ vat included + posting here in Belgium).
For ARM fiddling, I use TI's Hercules launchpad. I have the one with TMS570LS04 ARM R4 µC.
It doesn't have the same variety of sensors that the ST evaluation kit has. But I'm a TI fanboy.
