Zynq 7000 reboot from SD card
« on: November 24, 2020, 11:01:20 am »
Hi,

I have a Zynq 7000 processor running a bare metal application. It boots from QSPI flash. I'm looking for a way to reboot it from SD card under software control, irrespective of the values of the boot-mode pins. Is there a way to do that, for example by jumping directly into the the boot ROM code?

Thanks in advance

If you looking to load kernel and dtb which is present on SD card then modifying Uboot Environment and pointing to load Kernel from SDCard will Solve the issue.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean -- if you're saying that I can use an appriopriately configured UBoot to boot from SD card instead of from flash then that's not a solution. Initially booting from flash is a given, but there are circumstances under which I want to perform a reboot into the image on the SD card.
