Randomly turned up on YouTube this morning. Someone has gone to the bother of uploading these videos from my early B&W TV viewing back when we had two whole Channels to pick from  ;)

The Character behind the Microphone is Crazy Haired and OTT enthusiastic about his subjects and worth a watch or even just a listen while doing other things. Worth a look for the nostalgia for those of us 50'ish and above  ::)

Why is it so?
I remember him as a guest lecturer at Flinders Uni around early 70s. The lecture room was full !
I think he did that "question" about the thermos flask ... keeping hot or cold liquid ... it was very funny .. not sure though if he created it.
Loved his anecdotes ... memories

I did enjoy watching the Summer Science School (IIRC) - which included him as one of the presenters.

When I was in school, my parents wanted to inspire me in my studies and wrote to the professor.  He responded with a note written in texta on the back of a flyer.

I should still have it ... but it'll be in a box ... somewhere.

Seems there is plenty of his Lectures on YouTube. This one to a group of US Airforce members and kept them easily held and engaged for an hour and leaving trademark science points not answered  ;)
