Hey,

I hope this is the right forum for this. I didn't see any other place where this might fit.

A while ago, I have released the first actual (very much beta) version of my free and open-source program ElectronicsDB. You can find it along with more info on GitHub, where you can also download binaries for Windows and Linux:

https://github.com/alemariusnexus/electronicsdb

It's a program for managing a personal collection of electronics components, and allows e.g. searching for components with specific properties and where you can find them (e.g. which component drawer). Perhaps a screenshot describes it best:

I originally created this years ago as a quick-and-dirty tool for my own collection, but have recently spent a few weeks modernizing it quite a lot, and actually creating release binaries. It's still very much designed for my own needs and a bit buggy, but I thought it might be useful to some others as well. I wanted something a bit more sophisticated and specialized than an Excel sheet, but still relatively simple to use and flexible (data is stored in an SQL database, so you can execute custom SQL code on your collection). And at the time, I didn't find any existing software that I liked, so I just wrote it myself.

As you can see from the screenshot (categorizing a transistor as "plain", doh), my background is in computer science and not electronics, so my predefined part categories may not be ideal, but you can always create your own.

Let me know what you think.
