3.5" touch display solution suggestions?

Hi,
I have to develop a custom system/PCB with a 3.5" touch display but is the first time working with graphic touch displays and am looking for pointers/suggestions.

The fixed requirements are only 3.5" 480x320 with integrated resistive touch panel and refresh at least 40Hz and it would have to be a parallel interface.

Any suggestions for:
- the display controller. Which ones are the most common or industry standard controllers? I came across for example the ILI9486L but no idea how "standard" it is and what other part numbers it might be available as (just in case given the global components situation).
- the micro I am leaning towards is an ARM - which one specifically I am open to suggestions but not sure if there are perhaps some with hardware-dedicated peripherals?

Less important, any recommendations for software tools that allow simple fast development?
