This is a normal auction, you will not buy it for around $150.

Current bid:US $152.50
Buy it now price:US $900.00

In case you didn't already know:
The Agilent DSO1000 series scopes are just rebadged Rigol scopes including the Rigol firmware.
The Rigol equivalents doesn't cost anything near $1,500.
You can even buy a newer technology and much improved Rigol DS1074Z 4-channel 70 MHz for $585 here: http://www.tequipment.net/RigolDS1074Z.html
And on top of that Tequipment offers 6% discount to all EEVblog members when you enter the discount code during check out. PM tequipment to get the code.
Not sure where you're located. But if it's in the EU it's cheaper to buy from an EU Rigol distributor like batronix.com
Tequipment charges ridiculous shipping costs for international shipments.

Guys thanks for the business but can you remove the code.  We want it for eevblog members only and not posted publicly.. Thanks

also if shipping seems off online ask for a quote via USPS shipping.  It might be different.

The quote can be edited as well.

But I wonder, how do people know about it otherwise? Videos?

you're meant to direct message tequipment (the user) on this forum, asking for the code.  That is how you get it, and how you prove you're an EEVblog member.  I messaged him once asking, never got a response, so I looked around here until I eventually found it.

Hi Evan.  Here's the response I received on January 21 from Dawn at Tequipment when I attempted to utilize the discount code on an Agilent scope.

"Unfortunately, we do not offer discounts on Agilent products due to the minimal margin on the product brand."

I have since purchased the Agilent scope and two other pieces of Agilent gear from Tequipment.net.  The latter two I didn't even attempt to redeem the EEVblog discount because of the response quoted above.  I'll gladly accept the discount if it should have been available.  More money for more equipment!

Sure, but the code is already posted in 7 other topics on this forum and has been posted at least since July 2013, also in much more visited topics than this one. So it's hardly a secret.

It's in like 8 threads.
I'm not saying we should kill all stupid people. I'm just saying that we should remove all product safety labels and let natural selection do its work.

Put yourself in Tequipements shoes. They want to encourage sales but at the same time not throw away profit they could otherwise get. It's business.

Maybe he doesn't troll the forum demanding all mentions of discount codes removed because he has better things to do with his time, or doesn't want to needlessly burn the goodwill hes accrued.

tequipment:

1) Change the code.
2) Rotate the code monthly or make a whole lot of one-time-use codes to give out.
3) ANSWER PMs asking for the current code...
