Alternate part, diode question
« on: June 06, 2013, 07:28:05 pm »
Can anybody take a look and confirm that either of these replacement parts would be suitable?

Original part HER205
http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheet/wte/HER203-t3.pdf

Alternate part EGP20G
http://www.vishay.com/docs/88583/egp20a.pdf

Or

Alternate part NTE580
http://www.nteinc.com/specs/500to599/PDF/nte580.pdf

I can't source out the original. I also keep getting pointed to NTE576 but that diode has too large of a package size. I need DO-15 or similar size
Thanks

HER205. The URL is case sensitive.

They both look acceptable to me. EGP20G is a bit closer to the original - what exactly was the application of the original part?

Two of these diodes form a diode modulator which is part of a horizontal size circuit in a tube monitor
