Altium 3D issue
« on: October 10, 2013, 10:24:38 pm »
I know this might not be the best place to ask this question but I figure someone has come across this issue.   When ever I move to the 3D view of my PCB in Altium the components are green, it doesn't matter if I use steps models or default models.  I've been through the menu but nothing jumped out that at me.  Does anyone know how to fix this, I've included a picture for reference.

You are failing a DRC.  Could be clearance (what rules are you using?), or it could be complaining that your parts are outside the room definition.

Damn i hate the room definition, i always delete it and set the options so it doesn't re-create.

But yeah, as said above, run a 'design rule check' on the PCB and see what it says.

You can also hold your mouse over components and get info, including any DRC errors, top left of the screen.

That did it, I had to right click the room and set the parts to outside.  That was an easy fix.
