Analogue pulse detection
« on: January 11, 2014, 09:46:09 pm »
Are there any good analoge methods other than ( digital signal processing e.g (time reversal and adaptive filterin etc etc)

to capture an anlogue waveform with out loosing its original shape or waveform?

has to be analogue processing all the way e.g

anlogue phase and amplitude corretion methods.

example i recieve a analogue square wave distorted in phase and amplitude and these defects need correcting to restore the pulse shape square wave etc.. to there original shape.

is it possible to do this in the analogue domain with out using digital signal processing?

You mean like this? (You probably also want to read the appnote linked at the bottom of the article.)

What does that mean?

Think like a circuit: if you are presented with a waveform with just the knowledge that there are phase / amplitude defects but nothing else, how would you go about eliminating such defects?

If you can think of a way to do it, you can certainly devise a circuit to do it for you.
