I don't know about any arduino based 3d printers but I have seen arduino based CNC milling machines

3D printers are comparatively massive projects ... how about miniature CNC machine? There are lots of designs for those using simple tools and scrap stepper motors from printers.

I´m pretty sure that the REPRAP uses an Arduino mega.

First of all thank you. I know that a 3D printer would be a massive project for me because i am a beginner and i have nearly no equipment.
Also a CNC machine would be nice i will make a little research on this thank you.
And as for Paul23 it would be nice if you send a link to the creator of the REPRAP thank you.

You can build it with minimal tools. I suggest buying the plastic parts and your first extruder-hotend.
I build my reprap prusa within 2 month in 2011. Cost was ~700€ (Hotend and plastic parts bought, everything else locally sourced). You can lower the price drastically by scavanging parts.

I bought a kit from www.reprappro.com it was easier than sourcing all the parts individually.  Don´t buy one yet though.  The new version will be available in a couple of weeks which allows printing with multiple colour/materials.
