Black foam for components

I would like to get a small supply of the black stuff that you can put your DIP packages in during shipping. 

It seems to come in two flavours... the black stuff that is squishy and the pins don't really get stuck... I don't like that.

And the lovely crunchy black stuff that the pins get nicely embedded in.

What is the name for the later?  Any standard sources?

I believe you are after semi-rigid polyurethane.
