Would it be possible to use a Constant Current DC power supply with an adjustable output voltage to charge a 12V LifePO4 battery with a capacity of 120 Ah?
It is my understanding that these cells should be charged via CC and then CV which is exactly what this power supply would be doing with a max charge rate of 60A or (0.5C) and can be set to a maximum of 13.6V (99% SOC for this battery).
Should I try doing this or should I invest in a dedicated 2 or 3 stage battery charger? I will be using it to power a 1200W pure sinewave inverter with a bypass function when AC power is present as it does not come with an integrated battery charger.
Seems safe to me but I would like to hear from people with more experience.
