Hi,
I have lost track of how many hours I have spent trying to figure this out, reading forums and documentation... so any help is much appreciated! :)

I installed GitHub Desktop and created a local repository which resides inside a sn STM32 CubeIDE project... i.e. Eclipse.

I can modify any of the .c or .h files with ANY editor (notepad, notepad++, wordpad, etc) and the changes appear immediately in GitHub Desktop. But if I edit the same file/s with CubeIDE editor the changes do not appear, at all. i.e. GitHub Desktop does not show that the file (or any file) has been changes.

Does anybody have any idea why?

Thank you as always! :)

Did you save them?  Note also that Eclipse has git integration and can be set to automatically 'git add' any changes to tracked files.  You can then diff, commit, push, pull, merge branches etc through Eclipse.

Thank you @bson,
yes that was the first thing I made sure of.

It works with every other Git client (SourceTree, Git Kraken etc) but not specifically with Git Desktop.
