How to interface AD2285 accelerometer with Pic32
« on: December 03, 2014, 07:47:15 pm »
Hello all,

I'm working on a new project, an electronic sensor and datalogging system for a high power rocket.  As part of it I need to interface an accelerometer with an analog 0-5v signal to an adc on my pic mcu that accepts 0-3v3 signals.  To complicate things, I only want to the negative g data, so I only need the 0-2.5v signal and want anything above that clamped and want the 0-2.5v signal expanded so that I can use the full resolution on the adc in my microcontroller.  This is a lot of precison analog stuff.....  I've never done this before.  Any solutions would be very helpful to me.

Thank!
Invention, my dear friends, is 93% perspiration, 6% electricity, 4% evaporation, and 2% butterscotch ripple.

Are you sure that is a AD2285  (Analog Devices)?   I don't find any data on that particular part

Exactly the same way as with other mcus.
