I made this short video to show the 1000W electronic load load operating and how the web app is used to control it: https://youtu.be/gFIf8tUbkxg
I'm actively developing the load so please let me know if you have any suggestions for the UI or other features I should add to it.
Cheers

Looks great,
I would probably have put a simple 7SEG/LED/OLED/LCD display on the box, just a simple display to show the current A and V, maybe W too, so you can a see what's happening at a quick glance from the other side of the room without needing to use the tablet or get out your phone.  Not any configuration/menu/touch stuff, you have the app for that. just A, V and maybe W and internal temp if you want to get fancy.  Some big 7SEGs would be cool but maybe that's just me.

Maybe shorten those bolts on the terminals so a metal object like a screwdriver that rolls under it cant short across the terminals

Nice to see that loads that do not only dissipate in the FET are being used.

I sometimes use such a 1500W-Step up module together with four 36V/400W halogen bulbs for that purpose. I've never build a control loop around it, so I need to use a screwdriver to set the desired load power.

For testing batteries it would be perfect to have a buck-boost-converter that controls *input* current or power and just dumps everything in a halogen bulb load until a minimum input voltage is reached. Does anyone know of such a device or has already DIYed it?

Watched the vid. Very interesting, nice job! Particularly the user interface. It’ll be great if some detail of the design can be shared, both hardware and software.

There are more details of the design including a PDF of the schematic in my Hackaday project: https://hackaday.io/project/205930-smart-1000w-electronic-load-without-a-heatsink
