« on: January 04, 2020, 10:06:18 am »
Hello,
Can someone tell me if try to read , or maybe decode the chip from Lexmark CS720/725, CX725.
I'm a beginner in this, so , maybe U can tell me with what controller U can read this (arduino, Rasbery PI), and what program.
The eeprom from chip is TI069A1, and is similar like MS/MX, or CS/CX

Do you want to reset it? Get yourself a tonner reset device, plenty of them on chinese sites

Do you want to mess around with it?

Is there a small cap to help find vcc and gnd?

If not, try measuring in the printer itself, 4 wires suggests i2c.

Get yourself a 8$ saleae clone, wire to it, fit the cartridge in the printer and try capturing some data

Maybe this ?

https://fixmyprinter.us/how-to-reset-lexmark-toner-cartridge-chip/

And yes they are reset devices who can reset the cartbridge,   or with an universal programmer  once the pinouts are found, you read a new / never used cartridge,  do an eeprom dump, and reprogram the empty one ...

If you know the devoce markings, try to find datashhet of it and follow the pins to the 4 pads you see ...

Couldn‘t find the datasheet for the Chip. Even asked a seller  :palm:

My Lexmark C2535 toner cartridges contain that chip also.
