I just saw over at the Raspberry Pi forums that the new Raspberry Pi 2 may have some crashing issues when it's exposed to a flash from a camera. Is this a type of problem that's been seen before and worth spending extra effort to designing around when designing a circuit/PCB? I've never heard of anything like this before.

The actual problem chip is said to be an On Semi NCP6343 in CSP.
This link (found on Hackaday) explains the problem with CSPs:

Old problem, especially with diodes used for protection in high impedance circuits which would not work with the lid off.
