Logitech iphone/ipod dock 12.9 Vdc
« on: January 05, 2011, 05:35:26 am »
Hi,
a workmate was telling me about his Logitech iphone/ipod dock that is powered by a 12.9v 1.39A switching adaptor (100 - 240VAC). The adaptor has failed and he is looking for a replacement.

The dock has an integrated amplifier and I am speculating that it is powered by 3 X rechargable cells each with a charging voltage of > 4.0 V, hence the 12.9 V supply.

Has anyone encountered this before ?

Thanks, tjw.

You can easily find replacement wall warts on eBay, but is your friend sure this is the cause?  If you have an adjustable power supply you can cut off dead adapter's socket, rig a connector to your PSU and test it for sure.

Best Wishes,

3 X 1.2V = 3.6V

Does it work with just a 12v supply?
