How to decrease ripple in switching power supply
« on: June 21, 2026, 01:41:30 pm »
Hi guys:
I`m working on Low-Cost Development of Digital DC Power Supply Using Waste Electric Bike Chargers, specs are below:
     1. designed based on Waste Electric Bike Chargers, pwm controller is UC3842, only changed it`s feedback loop.
     2. Output voltage:0~60V. ripple target:±100mV
     3. Current limit adjustable: 0~10A.
     4. USB typec control, SCPI compatible.
     5. WIFI/BLE connection.
     6. 2.8 TFT LCD display.
basic function works well, but ripple is larger than I expected. can anyone give advice on how to improve?

What was the expected ripple? How much do you measure?

Ripple comes from the switching power circuitry, do you have a schematic of that?
