I don't really have much experience with multiplexing but I wanted to know what is the difference between 16-multiplexing and 32-multiplexing because I was looking at LED drivers and in some of them there was 16-multiplexing support and or others 32-multiplexing or something else.

Multiplexing means, like one to many -< , here you have one input and some bunch of control lines (lets say n) , you can direct that input to any of the 2^n output lines. Your 16 lines and 32 lines may be 1 to 16 or 1 to 32 mux.
