I'm wanting to find a book with nikola tesla's designs. Don't really want a biography, or hard to interpret scribbled notes that have been photocopied.
any suggestions?
thanks.
Unfortunately, the CIA stole Tesla's notes, drawing and plans from his hotel room the day of his death never to be seen again.

I read something about that. I know it was during war time (1943), but you would think that a freedom of information act lawsuit would open that one up.
I was assuming that somebody has written a comprehensive technical guide to his work that is worth reading?
I am unaware of any such book. However, there are quite a few documentaries seeking to honor his forgotten genious. The best I've seen was on NetFlix called something like "War of the Currents", but this one doesn't look too bad either:
In the end, Tesla was right; the future did belong to him and his AC.
I'm pretty sure there's a small paperback book that covers many of his patents, but I'll have to check my shelf when I get home.
edit- I think it's The Fantastic Inventions of Nikola Tesla and should be easy to find by search.

Before you waste your time with Tesla rubbish, check out what else the particular publisher publishes:

Free Energy Pioneer: John Worrell Keely
Tapping the Zero Point Energy
Quest for Zero Point Energy Engineering Principles for Free Energy And so on. In other words, an incredible pile of shit.
Tesla was a bright man, but he sure has been appropriated by the woo-woo fuckwits. Take anything you read about him with a grain of salt.

"The Woo-Woo Fuckwits." I'm going to have to remember that one.

agreed. may have to replace whack-a-loon with fuckwits..
yeah, I agree. however, all the electronics magazines (tech mags, not gadget mags) are right next to the aliens, voodoo, tattoo, and pyramid power mags in all the books stores around here.
So even tesla's own books aren't worth reading?

Lots of info in the patents.

It is not Tesla's book we are talking about. The book is copy-pasted by some guy who slapped Tesla's name on the cover and pulled other marvelous books like
Anti-Gravity and the World Grid
Extraterrestrial Archaeology
The Free-Energy Device Handbookout of his ass.
The problem with Tesla is that there is a group of nutcases, fanboys, mystic and conspiracy theorist who spin everything he did and a lot of things he actually didn't do into a mysterious legend.
Tesla was an engineer and inventor. Some of his stuff worked and was great. Other stuff didn't work and was rubbish. And he was a bit of a nutcase. That's it.

Plus, some of his "inventions" were not even original either.
But hey, large scale wireless energy transfer of back then sounds fitting to distribute all the energy we soon will get with all that LENR stuff!
Greetings,
Chris
the woo-woo fuckwits
I think you just coined a new term.

Hey and it starts again, now a lot of companies are experimenting with high voltage DC grids. Modern semi conductors have shifted the favour from AC to DC.

Polyphase AC--but he improved the application of it.
Great Engineer, but he went round the bend!
Which one?
The rotating magnetic field was first invented by Galileo Ferraris, and later improved by Tesla, but when you mention the rotating magnetic field today, Tesla is always the hero.
