Piezo Buzzer Driver Coil
« on: November 29, 2017, 03:08:59 pm »
Hello :),
maybe somebody can help me.
I'm searching for a 3 Pole (Pin) Inductor / Transformer / Coil to drive a Piezo Buzzer.
I find dem in each device with a Piezo buzzer but cant find them on Mouser or digikey.

I dont want to order them from a chines company via alibaba etc.

Normally, a simple inductor is all that's needed. The high voltage pulse given off when the current through the inductor is interrupted, is enough to drive the piezo.

My guess is what you have is an audio impedance matching transformer, to make the piezo work in a circuit designed for an 8 Ohm speaker. You probably need an 8Ohm to 500Ohm or 1k audio transformer. Mouser sell them, but they're expensive.
