PLCC Plugs
« on: October 12, 2013, 05:35:07 pm »
I have a requirement to replace a socketed 44 pin PLCC package with a plug and PCB carrying a small amount of circuitry.  This is for production not just test so mechanical retention and reliability is important.

I had a little experience with TQFP to PLCC adapters (some of it bad).

This http://www.ironwoodelectronics.com/products/adapters/plcc_clips_and_plugs.cfm looks like a good bet.

Another option here http://www.winslowadaptics.com/product/16260 but I think it was this range that gave the bad experiences.

Aries might also do something.

Does anyone have experience with PLCC plugs or know of other suppliers/options?
