Hey everybody,
I'm new to this forum so forgive me if it is incorrectly posted or anything like that.
PS I'm no beginner in microcontrollers but RFID is brand new to me.
I'm trying to create a system where whenever someone carrying an RFID tag got close enough, a microcontroller would be able to sense it. I can program the microcontroller to carry out the desired tasks without help though. The system must respond whenever the tag and reader are within about 4 or 5 feet from each other. I would like the tag to be passive if possible and if it is not then how to keep the power draw to a minimum. Also, the power consumption of the reader is fairly irrelevant. Ideally, I would like to find a good kit that comes with what I need that I can just program or find a few parts that work well together that I can improvise. Does anyone know of a good kit for this or have any advice/thoughts?
Thanks in advance for any help and I apologize for my lack of aptitude.
