Question about resistor networks/arrays
« on: December 18, 2016, 07:05:40 pm »

That's the original part, along with what the silkscreening for the part looks like with it removed from the board. 5.1K, 6-resistor, 7-pin SIPs seem to be hard to find. Does anyone know of a source for them? Mouser and Digi-Key both list exactly one: Bourns Inc. 4607X-101-512LF, and neither site has them in stock. Mouser has a 10-week factory lead time on it and Digi-Key has an unknown factory lead time.

If I can't find one, is there something I could substitute? For example, versions with 7 resistors and 8 pins are readily available. Could I just cut off the extra leg (not the common leg of course) and use one of those?

Yes, absolutely. I'd do exactly that. Or just assemble 6 resistors, if you don't want to wait and have resistors readily available.

Thanks. I don't have any 5.1Kohm resistors onhand, though it does look easy to make one of these from 6 resistors:
