Hello, I am currently working on a PCB design that will potentially connect with a mezzanine board. One of my requirements is that this host PCB should be able to source or sink current for the 3.3V power rail to/from the mezzanine. I am thinking about using the MAX14714, since the datasheet claims bidirectional power paths (i.e. if host sources 3.3V the switch will select from IN1 (or IN2) to OUT and if the mezzanine sources 3.3V then the switch will operate from OUT to an IN1 (or IN2) path depending on the how the Enables are configured).
Some questions I am hoping to get some insight on:
1. Is this a correct understanding on how the MAX14714 could operate?
2. If there's a situation where there is 3.3V power delivered to the OUT pin and there is power on IN1 (also at 3.3V) but IN2 is 0V and both EN1/EN2 were low (both enabled), how would the MAX14714 operate?
Appreciate any help with this. Thanks!
