reflow station for diy?
« on: April 03, 2018, 03:50:38 am »
it seems like the later electronics all commonly suffer from cold solders or solders breaking due to flex

is there a small reflow station that is  reasonable price that is available to use that can heat up a small portion or a single component solder?

i recently realized that its a very common problem now after having to reflow a motherboard in the oven and a keyfob for mercedes and few other things...
now i wish i had a specialized reflow station to make the job easier

There's such a thing as a reflow oven.

Are you looking for a soldering station or hot air station? Or both?

I ask, as the latter types can single joints and small areas respectively (hot air isn't all that precise, but shields can be used to prevent heating nearby components).
