Searching for an elusive data sheet - MST703-LF

Hi guys and gals,
I've been trying to track down the data sheet (or pin designation) for the MST703-LF. It's the LCD driver in the cheep and cheerful 3.5" and 4.3" reversing monitors.
The end game is to to use the monitor for FPV flying. But for that to happen I need to disable the 'blue screen' when the video signal is too low and allow the static to be visable. The recovery time from 'blue screen' is to long.
I've searched the Web and emailed the manufacturers, but so far no joy.

Any help would be great.

Probably easier to solve the issue at the source, since it's very unlikely that the bluescreen can be eliminated by fiddling at the LCD controller board.
Can't you leave the camera always on?

The video is transmitted from the quadcopter in the air to the ground via a 5.8GHz Rf link. When the signal degrades to much the monitor will blue screen. It takes a minimum of one second for the monitor to reset, which is a long time when your flying by reference to the video. The signal might have dropped out for a 100mS but you loose vision for a lot longer.

The chip has eeprom attached as well so it may have some programmability.

I'd thought of using the RSSI signal from the receiver to switch in a substitute sync signal but it's update rate is to slow.

Some have had success putting a DVR  inline, but I thought I might try and hit the issue at the source.

Took me about 2 minutes of googling.

-Site is a bit slow to load.
-Says MST703-ds but the ordering guide box on page 9 says MST703-LF, so im sure its the right datasheet.
-You dont seem to be able to do download it, have to view it on the website.
-It has pinouts (page4) and all of the register info for driving the chip.

I think you'll want to spend a few hours taking screen shots of all 200 pages and make your own pdf, its pretty slow to load each section otherwise

The website is a bit picky about how you link to it. But the google url seems to work fine.

You should look at the Chinese sites too, they have a lot of electronics information

It says it contains an "embedded MCU" but no mention of what exactly it is... probably 8051.

After a quick look at the datasheet,
it seems my solution lies in a registry bit change.

When looking for hard to find datasheets never overlook the sites that have it but want you to pay.

Some of them show the pdf filename which you can then google to find the file somewhere else

i have been looking for this datasheet for a while..
(yes. i have googled it extensively........... mostly getting these Chinese sites with no real datasheet)

but finally after a bit of google translating of the link above, i managed to sign up in Chinese and
download the datasheet PDF too... 
is the same as the one attached.  so save yourself the trouble ;o)

Does anybody have experience with programming these chips...
im hoping to interface directly to the OSD function via spi / serial ?
