Simple soldering station (temperature only)
« on: May 16, 2024, 09:54:10 pm »
Hello. This is a completely different product, but I would like to create a soldering station that looks like this.
It is sufficient to be able to display the temperature of the tip on the display like the "QUICKO T12-951". I prefer a simple look.

So my question is, do you think it is possible to obtain the temperature from a commercially available T12 or C245 station and display it on another LCD?
I don't have the skills to use Arduino, etc., and I would like to obtain the temperature of the tip from the existing station controller.
I would be happy to receive your advice or ideas. Thank you in advance!

Sure it's possible. But you would need some microcontroller programming skills. There are lots of code repositories on github that are compatible with the chinese soldering station controllers.

You can also have a look at:

You can probably find both source code and PCB layouts.
