SPI MPL115A barometer interfacing.
« on: September 06, 2014, 10:57:01 am »
I have been working on a project. Its interfacing MPL115A SPI barometer. I have succesfully interfaced the MEMS IC to my controller. But I am unable to get the actual data cos i am unable to get the real coefficient value from the SPI registers.
Here's the description of the circuit I have made. http://shortedwire.blogspot.com/2014/08/mlp-barometer-sensor-design-with-sdi.html

Could you give a little more detail on what problem you are encountering? You say that you "successfully interfaced" the IC to your MCU, suggesting that you did manage to communicate with it? How did you confirm this if you aren't able to read the coefficients?
Have you read this app note: http://cache.freescale.com/files/sensors/doc/app_note/AN3785.pdf ? Have you verified your signals on a logic analyser against those given in the app note & data sheet?

Thanks for reply ,, I actually solved my problem. I was unable to convert the hex value to the floating value coefficients but it's ok now.
