The topic could probably also fit in OHSW but I wasn't sure if the project actually qualifies for that badge.

You might think oh no, not yet another reflow oven controller.. :palm:
But you've got to admit this one is pretty badass, it's a working example of clever front panel design and clever control algorithms. :-DMM

Details, firmware and design files: https://zenontech.wordpress.com/2018/04/01/tempdoctor-reflow-oven-controller/

In terms of reflow performance, from my measurements (not so rigorously documented unfortunately) it turns out that no point on the PCB's is more than 7 degrees C off from the center oven thermocouple. That difference can happen when the whole oven is ramping up with more than 1 degree per second and of course thermal inertia is hard to overcome but when the oven temperature is stable (no ramping up or down) then all points inside are within 2 degrees from the center, which is more than good enough.

If you have feedback or questions I'll do my best to reply, but I moved my career focus from hardware to software & AI so I definitely won't maintain / improve this project. Of course, anyone can fork the design and do whatever they please with it.
