Recommendation for pluggable connector
« on: February 13, 2019, 05:39:09 pm »
Hi guys,

My name is Mike, I am currently working as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the lighting industry. The project I am working on involves electrical part in it, and selection of drivers and connectors amongst other tasks.

I am looking for a 2 pole/circuit connector that will look like this one wago 890

I am looking for something more compact with push in wire capabilities, ideally panel mount on one side and plug on the other. If possible, with a latch for locking.

I also checked for AVX, BINDER, PHOENIX, TE and MOLEX vendors. All connectors require assembly of pins and wires to complete the harness assembly, I am looking for push in or some other mechanical quick assembly that does not require additional processes.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Best regards,

Mike

So you want to push the wire into a male plug, and then plug that into a female header on the product?

Do you need to use a plug-able connector? How about plugging bare wire directly into the product with spring-loaded contacts? Not allowed?

What are your current/voltage requirements?
