Using switching LED driver as a regulator
« on: December 09, 2016, 11:44:07 am »
Hi all,

Have a bit of a problem and I immediately knew where to turn!

I'm working on a super low cost design and it needs a boost regulator.

I've found this part: http://www.dioo.com/attachments/files/20161031115726_129.pdf

It's calling itself an LED driver but what I want to know is, if I place feedback resistors to provide 200mV to the FB pin at the desired output voltage, is there anything stopping me from just using this to power whatever I want (within reason) like a normal boost regulator?
