VFD lifespan
« on: October 17, 2025, 07:25:45 pm »
General question about extending the life of a VFD:

I've seen mentioned that it is A) a good idea to lower the voltage to the grid, especially if the VFD is bright and you could stand it to be dimmer and that B) I shouldn't lower the voltage to the heater because it could cause the cathode to get too cold and that can cause cathode poisoning.

Does this all sound like decent advice, or does anyone have anything to add or subtract?

TIA
