Part number for AC Type 2 EV Charger terminals
« on: February 17, 2025, 12:39:51 pm »
Hi, I'm trying to repair a charger cable that a dog chewed on.

Basically I need to cut it a bit shorter and re-terminate the cable, I want new terminals but don't know the part number.

Can someone help?

Also heard I might need a hydraulic crimper, but maybe not for these in particular.

Regards

G'day lovemb,

Maybe you could reuse the existing.

How thick is the metal around the crimp?

If you cut of the wire, you may be able to expand the crimp with a series of Pick tools etc.

Hi, it's not very thick, I just wanted new terminals to do this repair the right way.

the terminals will likely be specific to the make of the connector, so need to identify that first, but terminals may not be easy to get in small qtys.

Mike's Electric Stuff: High voltage, vintage electronics etc.
