Advice on UTsource.net?
« on: June 03, 2026, 02:00:24 pm »
Hi All,

Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with UTsource.net in China? They have some vintage BJT's (2SA1186/ 2SC2837) I am looking for but am unsure if they would be original parts. A friend of mine has vouched for them but I was wondering if anyone else has purchased from them before?
I wanted to put is newer subs, but the owner is insisting he wants the the original parts put in.....  :palm:

thanks.....

these is still available in Japan.
Sanken website says it's discontinued, but they list a replacement. Have you looked it out?

2SA1186 -> 2SA1303
2SC2837 -> 2SC3284

Hi,

You can try Ovaga.com. They are reliable and sell genuine components.

I have used UTsource a few times and parts were OK, at least they worked, your results may vary, always treat these sources with caution.

I recently started to use Quest Components, they have been very good too and even cancelled an item they suspected as being used parts from one of their suppliers, I wanted the parts so asked them to send them anyway, which they did.
Cheers Scott

Thanks Scott.....they had one of the parts in stock, but the shipping charges are atrocious......$17 by Fedex Ground to NY for 2 BJT's !!!

I've used UTSource in the past. The parts worked and seemed genuine.

But the shipping was much cheaper years ago. Now it's quite expensive unless you make a large order.
