Bugs in KSGER C245 - how to solve?
« on: May 18, 2024, 10:21:04 pm »
I got a new KSGER C245. Unfortunately the software menu fails and the display output is not fully to see on the right side. Is there an easy fix getting rid of those problems? Are there schematics available for this device?

the character output is distorted. The device has to be switched off.

the °C text output is located too much to the right. The display should be shifted to the left.

Seems like a connection problem. Check the solder joints.

I agree with DavidAlfa that it's probably some connection problem. Maybe the flex to the display?

There are a lot of variations of very similar soldering stations, and both schematics, (KiCad projects) and firmware for variants can be found on github / gitlab and similar sites.

the display is working correctly when powered up. So I do not feel that this is a hardware problem. This happens when using this menu. Switching off the device and on and its ok. But it will happen again when using the menu again.
