Gardena R70Li main board repair, what component is it?
« on: May 02, 2020, 05:14:22 pm »
I've been fault searching on a main board for a Gardena R70Li robot lawnmower.
One output, the left one is faulty, by changing motors, the oposite doesn't work.

I've found this to be faulty:

But what is it? the left to legs are shorted.

It looks like the writhing says:
F (logo) 1E34AC
FDD
8424H

It's probably a TO252 DPAK package, the centre circle says AB.

I've been trying to googling the component, but can't find it, any suggestions?

Yes, most likely it's it. :-+
On the other hand, mosfets are used as drivers of DC motors.
If one end of the motor is connected to the component, then it's definitely a mosfet.

Not sure if this is still helpful, but in my R70li the part is AOD609.
Here is the datasheet.
https://www.tme.eu/Document/435d6c3893606163299f67de36ec8c28/AOD609-DTE.pdf

Unfortunately, on mine not only the output FET burned, but so did the BC817 that is driving it and also the 74HCT365 that provides the signals as a buffer from the CPU...
So, my fix will not be as easy...
