Gpu short on 2.5v caps
« on: June 28, 2020, 01:23:55 pm »
I have two identical gpus, one of them is working, other one says short on 2.5v caps, i know they are short to gnd because the working one doesn't have a short there, i tried applying voltage to see what heats up, nothing does. All of the mosfets seems okay and fine, I will be posting images shortly

Is there anyone who can point me in right direction? I don't know where to start as i can't identify voltage regulators or pci controllers in this circuit mentioned in repair videos on internet, also wanna know if applying 4v from li-ion cell was a bad idea since its some 1v line judging by the 2.5v caps?
