It's almost certainly a Sony custom part with a product specific contact arrangement.

I can't see exactly what the failure is (it all looks pretty mangled / melted). Your best bet is probably try to carefully repair it with epoxy, strips of something rigid etc. and carve away the melted plastic.

Either that or find a broken donor unit and very carefully transplant the switch.
Best Regards, Chris

The nub which protrude from switch is broken off, I tried to transplant it from a good one but it broke off on the first try :(

You could certainly use a soldering iron or other heat to remove the contacts from the sliding piece.  Then take some thin PCB material, cut it to size, cut away copper so that the pattern matches the bottom piece. You would be advised to put epoxy in the grooves where copper is cut out and then sand it flat so the contacts glide smoothly.  If possible, I would probably cut the bottom piece out of delrin or something like this and embed the little strip of PCB in it, but it is unclear if there is sufficient room for this.  If you broke the contacts, you should be able to find comparable contacts inside an old slide type switch.

This would be a couple hours of work, you would really have to love this walkman to do it.  Like the way you love an old coffee cup that you continue to use after dropping, breaking to pieces and then glueing it back together.  For the second time

This switch is basically two standard on/on switches placed side by side,  so for now I just soldered 2 switches and connected 2 stems together with thin copper plate on which I folded a little nub, this way they both move when force applied to a makeshift nub. But I doubt it will work in a long run, so I'm looking for a more clean and permanent solution.
Thank you for ideas!

I’m in the process of milling a slider for the micro slide switch in an early 90s Sony remote control. The stem snapped off, and it’s just not something where glue would work well. So I’m just reproducing it by carefully milling phenolic board. (I got sidetracked from this and need to go back to it...)
