Issue with Uni-T UT210E clamp meter

Hi Every one,

I get a brand new Uni-t UT210E clamp meter from Aliexpress , once I power up the meter , I get "CAL" on the display , as shown below :

Then is followed by random numbers also shown on the display , some sort of counting numbers in hexadecimal form :

Then showing error message " err1" as below :

& then the device is not responding to any key & hang up , if I pressed the select button several times  while the numbers counting I can get the meter ready to measure according to the dial selection , but I doubt it will give the correct measurement , also at that time the hold button do nothing & I can not get the back light operation as well , does any one face this situation with this meter ? does any one can help to fix this issue ?

First thoughts are to replace the batteries just in case they are they or their contact resistances are causing problems.  Otherwise there is a long thread about the UT-T-210E on EEV that may help as well.  Unfortunately it could just be a dud and needs to be returned.  Best of luck.

Your meter is in the calibration mode.
