LCR-TC2 multimeter
« on: September 06, 2021, 02:40:17 pm »
Hello, I have recently bought a this great multimeter, it is almost identical to the one described here: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/tc1-lcr-meter-transistor-tester-fix/
It is really useful and helpful, but has one extremely annoying property, when I measure some component it shuts down after up to 25 seconds, I would like to disable this function entirely, the controlling chip of the function is shown in the post I shared, alongside with schematic of entire board, it is this one STC15L104W.
If necessary I am willing to desolder the chip and replace it with external switches.
Thank you very much.

I think that's in the firmware so first you have to figure out how to program it, and then modify the code.

Well  you have to get an stc  isp programmer,  the software who goes with it  and hope you can read it  if its not read protected

or you have to do some bus sniffing if you see some data going out to the main mcu  or simply an pull up or down  ???  ......

for a simple shut down / watch dog  you may go a long route ???
