Michrochip Brand Unknown Smd Component
« on: February 26, 2024, 09:06:11 pm »
Hello,
I have an smd component with the marking "CS0938" from Microchip company and I can't find any datasheet of it. You know if I have to remove some letters from the marking code in order to search for the datasheet? This PCB is from a trackball from a scan machine.

99% it's a voltage regulator given the large capacitors connected to it.
Probably a 5V->3.3V LDO.

I expect that "GAD" is the marking code. "0938" appears to be the YYWW date code. In fact there is a similar date code on the EEPROM (949).

"CS" appears to be the part ID. It's the 3.3V version of MCP1700.
